The short version

Serral collects the minimum it needs to run: your account identity, the charts and tickers you submit, and usage counts. No ads, no selling of personal data, no tracking across other apps. Your analysis history lives on your device, not on our servers.

What we collect

Account: when you sign in with Google or with Apple we receive your email address (or Apple's private relay address, if you choose to hide yours) and a user identifier. Usage: we count analyses per account and per installation to enforce fair-use limits, with timestamps. Content: the chart photos you submit and the tickers you type are processed to produce your analysis. Onboarding answers (experience, markets, goals) are stored on your device.

How photos are handled

A submitted photo is sent to our server and processed, including by our AI provider (Anthropic), to produce your analysis. Photos are not retained on our servers after processing and are not used to train AI models. The copy you see in your history is stored only on your device.

Where data lives

Our backend runs on Google Cloud in the United States (Oregon). Your account record and weekly usage counter are stored there. Analysis history, including photos, is stored on your device and is deleted when you delete the app.

Third parties we rely on

Google: sign-in, authentication, cloud hosting, and Google Play billing. Apple: Sign in with Apple and App Store billing. RevenueCat: subscription status. Anthropic: AI processing of submitted images and of the computed data behind each analysis; Anthropic does not train models on this API data. Market data providers: we request price history for the ticker your chart shows. We do not sell personal information to anyone.

Retention and deletion

Your account record is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account and its server-side data from the Account page in the app, or by emailing serralapp@gmail.com from the signed-in address; we will remove the record. Usage counters reset weekly. Local history is yours to clear by deleting the app.

Age

Serral deals with financial market content and is not directed at or intended for anyone under 18.

Changes
